Paddler friendly job opportunity in Mentone...

This job isn't paddling specific (although we do teach introductory flat water canoeing), but is in a great location for whitewater paddling (20 min from LRC) and we have employed lots of paddlers in the past... so I thought I would post it here. Our Spring Semester is especially paddler friendly wi...

Re: Mini Jet Boat for Rivers

We had to deal with those on Hell's Canyon in Idaho in the summer of 2012. We were doing a 4-day, self-support kayak trip and multiple times found ourselves scrambling to get out of their way because they can't throttle down or change their intended line much or they would get trashed (we had flows ...

Johnnies -3" at 7 AM Fri

Johnnies was -3" when Chuck and I put on for a pre-work lap at 7:00 Friday morning. It is holding well, but surprisingly silty... usually after a higher water event it would be clear and green by the time it gets this low, but it was kinda muddy. Makes me think there is some construction or som...

Re: Rio Yaque del Norte (DR) pics/vid now online...(link)

Surprisingly enough, there is whitewater paddling to be had on several Caribbean islands. Dominican Republic seems to have the most runs and has the most reliable options, but I know paddlers who have paddled in Puerto Rico, Jamaica, and Cuba. I've also read about some big name paddlers (Ben Stokesb...

Johnnies Creek -3.75" at 8:00 (the -4" line is totally covered) Friday morning. Still raining here and presumably it is still rising.

I'm working all day, but I'll try to check again later today if I get a chance.

Re: LRC gauge is off
