Ouch, that was scary, glad it worked out. That's a rapid I would always take a quick look at, especially since the changes since a couple of months back. A quick bank look shows the route on this one. We have even set ropes in this rapid before.

Good advice. I tried to talk my buddy into looking at it first and he wanted to just fire it up. So we did. He tried to catch a micro eddy and it just didn't happen. Made for some good footage though.

Cringe. Dude didn't look like he needed to be out there. I hate watching videos where I can tell the paddler doesn't have the boat control or confidence to be in a rapid. Back to town for him.
