Alabama Whitewater was originally created by local legend Mark D'Agostino, whose painstaking work with half a paddle and a camera brought us most of the information contained on this site. Many of his friends and acquaintances (victims?) also contributed their time, energy, and perspective in its development, and we've tried to list them below to show our appreciation for their effort. We owe much to these people who pioneered the runs we know and love today, and we hope to continue to provide the premier resource for whitewater paddling information in this beautiful state.
